In 1992, two innovative and creative elementary school teachers were searching for an effective way to teach handwriting to their third grade students. What resulted was their own creation of a simple video that displayed the drawing and redrawing of each letter of the alphabet. This straightforward concept gave these teachers more valuable time with their students and eliminated teacher time spent drawing letters on the board. The video was shared with other teachers who then shared with entire schools and districts.
These two innovative teachers gave birth to Animated Handwriting and to their new business, Learning Windows Publications, which eight years later was renamed Enrichment Resources.
The rest is history. Animated Handwriting DVDs are now available in six different styles, and an additional line of California Missions products to assist fourth grade educators is also available.
